Over the last few years we have heard a significant amount of advertising and discussion about the introduction of 5G wireless service. Until this year, most of that talk was just that: talk! This year we are seeing the beginning of significant movement toward adoption and implementation of 5G by cellular service providers. We will likely see a continuing evolution toward 5G over the course of the next few years. For those of you old enough to remember when the providers introduced 4G, expect a similar process, except that more people know about and will want 5G as soon as possible, so the service will be in higher demand. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term 5G or who have heard about it but don’t quite understand what we are talking about, 5G simply references the fifth generation of wireless service technology.
