In my previous column, I wrote about doing some things to help your law practice during this extended downtime we are having. Although such advice seems easy to give, I also understand that many attorneys lack motivation at the moment. The financial hit COVID-19 has caused isn’t limited to our clients; we are directly impacted by fewer leads and hires and slow-pay or no-pay by current clients. As our finances get tighter and the world gets smaller due to stay-at-home restrictions and no courthouse appearances, we find ourselves lacking the motivation even to do things that would benefit us. So, let’s talk about how we can motivate ourselves, as this pandemic doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
