GPSolo Magazine Is Now Digital-Only

This is the first digital-only issue of GPSolo magazine. You can now read GPSolo in four digital formats that can be viewed on a variety of devices, from smartphones to tablets to laptop and desktop computer screens:

  • a fully illustrated and linked PDF, ideal for reading on a laptop or desktop computer, iPad, Android tablet, or Kindle Fire tablet (you can also print out the PDF version if you want to read individual articles or the entire issue in print);
  • a specially designed EPUB, ideal for reading on an iPhone or Android smartphone; it is also perfect for an iPad or an Android tablet if you want to increase the font size for greater readability;
  • the online version of GPSolo magazine posted to the ABA website; and
  • the GPSolo e-newsletter sent directly to your e-mail in-box, with live links to the website versions of the articles.

Call for Nominations for 2020–2021 Secretary, Budget Officer, and Council Members-at-Large

The Nominating Committee will meet during the 2019 Solo & Small Firm Summit to nominate individuals for the positions of Secretary, Budget Officer, and Members-at-Large of the Council. In accordance with the Division Bylaws, the committee will nominate five Council Members-at-Large to serve four-year terms (§4.4) and a Budget Officer to serve a three-year term (§5.8.3). Minority applicants are encouraged. The duties, terms of office, and eligibility requirements for each of the positions to be filled are outlined in the Division Bylaws (tinyurl.com/y44mvnb6). GPSolo Magazine’s “Veterans Law” Issue Wins Awards

GPSolo magazine’s January/February 2018 (35:1) “Veterans Law” issue recently received two awards. It won an APEX Award for Publications Excellence in the category “Magazines, Journals, & Tabloids - Print - +32 pages” (tinyurl.com/yxkua2sb) and was named a “Top 25 Best Single Issue” in the Tabbie Awards overseen by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (tabpi.org/awards.htm).
