Why Should You Hire a Military Attorney?

Scott G. Johnson

If asked, “What does a military attorney do?” most people reflexively think of Tom Cruise’s masterful and climactic cross-examination of Jack Nicholson in the movie A Few Good Men, or possibly David James Elliott and Catherine Bell dueling in the courtroom in the television series JAG. They likely wouldn’t think of lawyers being involved in a Tom Clancy–esque thriller where the president approves a military operation after being briefed of a hostage situation, with helicopter rotors swirling and jet engines roaring mere minutes later to launch and recover the captured victims being held by a terrorist group in a remote desert location.
