As solos and small firm attorneys, we often romanticize the notion of going it alone. We like the thrill of the ups and downs and far too often get a rush when we barely squeak by a deadline. At some point, however, we must take inventory of our practice, and, more specifically, how we practice. While we may enjoy the roller coaster ride, our clients invariably do not. Thus, we owe it to ourselves, our clients, and our profession to seek help when our caseload is sufficiently heavy to cause us to work on the edge.
