GP Mentor: Why Solos Must Be Lifelong Students

I am sure when you answered the last question on the bar exam, you thought, “Great, that’s over, I will never have to work this hard again”—only to find out it was just the beginning. As a sole practitioner your days are filled with meeting clients, making and returning phone calls, preparing for court, sending out billings, balancing the bank register, and paying the bills. There are never enough hours in the day to get it all done. With these day-to-day burdens, it’s hard to find the time to stay up-to-date in your field of practice.
