RŌNIN REPORTS: Procrastination: Overcoming Unnecessary Stress

Benjamin K. Sanchez

Some of you are reading this despite one or more pressing deadlines, perhaps hoping to find the motivation to actually get those matters done. Others of you are leisurely reading this and not feeling guilty that you really should be doing something else. What makes one person wait and stress while another gets tasks done in a timely manner? Millions of words have been dedicated to the topic of procrastination, but please allow me to add a few more.

My name is Benjamin, and I’m a procrastinator.

This topic is near and dear to my heart. I am a habitual procrastinator. I have studied the topic, having read numerous articles and books and watched videos. I have tried my entire adult life to overcome this tendency. Despite knowing the causes, I have found it difficult to overcome. This is because procrastination is a psychological problem, not an organizational one.
