Katherine Mikkelson, longtime staff editor of The Public Lawyer, has taken a new position with the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law. She will serve as the Assistant Director for Career and Professional Development. Katherine was the Associate Director of the Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division for 25 years. As a former federal government lawyer with the Department of Justice and the Office of Special Counsel, she understood the importance of providing resources and support for public lawyers.

Katherine’s work ethic is inspiring. Although she worked part-time for GPSLD, she accomplished a tremendous amount of high-quality work. She handled GPSLD’s webinars, oversaw the production of this magazine and GPSLD’s newsletter, and produced GPSLD’s podcast, to name only a few achievements. Katherine was always coming up with ideas for new resources for GPSLD members. We will all miss her creativity and her great sense of humor and fun.
