Helping advance the Forum's mission, its divisions focus on the subjects described by their respective titles, while its caucuses offer programs tailored to their respective constituencies.

Forum Divisions

Corporate Counsel Division

The Corporate Counsel Division seeks to serve the Forum and its members by: Educating members of the Forum regarding franchise legal issues from the perspective of corporate counsel; Educating members of the bar regarding franchise legal issues from the perspective of corporate counsel; Educating members of the forum in private practice regarding the special needs of corporate counsel on franchise legal issues; Educating corporate counsel regarding the supervision of franchise legal matters and outside legal services; Expanding membership in the forum by providing a forum to address the unique needs of corporate counsel; Providing corporate counsel with a vehicle for communicating directly with other corporate counsel as well as outside counsel.

Litigation and Dispute Resolution Division

LADR's objectives are: To serve the Forum's membership through study and presentation of traditional and non-traditional approaches to resolving legal disputes in the franchisor-franchisee relationship; Increasing the receptiveness of Forum members to non-traditional approaches to problem solving; Enhancement of the skills of Forum members in applying such approaches.

International Franchise and Distribution Division

The IFDI’s mission is to serve the Forum and its members by: Fostering efforts to publish monographs and other materials on international franchising and distribution; Proposing and developing programs and speakers on the subject of international franchising and distribution for Forum publications; Proposing articles on the subject of international franchising and distribution for Forum publications; Expanding membership in the Forum from within and outside the to address the unique needs of international franchising and distribution practitioners; and Proposing and developing programs and speakers, and otherwise working cooperatively, with the International Bar Association, the ABA Section of International Law and Practice, and other appropriate bar groups.

Forum Caucuses

Diversity Caucus

Our mission is to develop and implement initiatives to support the Forum’s diversity goals of: Increasing the number of diverse members in the Forum; Growing the representation of diverse members in the Forum’s divisions and committees; Continuing to develop a strong base of diverse writers and speakers for the Forum; Creating a growing pool of diverse members ready to assume leadership positions in the Forum. The Diversity Caucus also strives to raise awareness of the value of diversity in the profession.

Women's Caucus

The Women's Caucus serves the Forum and its members by: Promoting opportunities for the Forum’s female members to participate in activities sponsored by the Forum, including membership on the Forum’s divisions and committees, contributing to Forum publications and developing programs and speakers for Forum programs; Providing a vehicle for female members of the Forum to discuss issues that are relevant to our constituency; Developing mentoring programs for professional development; Providing networking and community service opportunities in conjunction with other Forum divisions; Increasing membership in the ABA and the Forum.
