Review of the Year 2017–2018 in Family Law: Courts Tackle Immigration, Jurisdiction, and the Usual Family Law Disputes
In the 2017–18 reporting year, Congress was relatively quiet in the area of family law. Federal courts were as well, although abortion, immigration, and ICWA cases stood out. States, however, continued to hear a seemingly increasing volume of cases and a more pronounced attention to jurisdictional issues.
