People on the Move

James R. Arnold

Phillip Bower has joined the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as an attorney in its Bureau of Legal Services, where he will focus on air, remediation and redevelopment, and mining issues. Bower is active in the Section, currently serving on Council and as a liaison for the Group C committees. He previously served as a chair of the Air Quality Committee and the Virtual Learning Committee, as well as in other vice chair and conference planning positions.  

Karen A. Mignone has joined Qualus, a startup company based in London. Qualus utilizes polymer spheres to reduce water and chemical use in leather tanning. Mignone is responsible for sustainability within the company, assisting customers with meeting sustainability goals at their facilities, and managing compliance. She is the chair of the Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources.

Jim Arnold is the principal in The Arnold Law Practice in San Francisco. He is a past Section secretary, Council member, and chair of the Sponsorships Committee, the Superfund and Hazardous Waste Committee, co-chair of the 1999 Section Fall Meeting, and chair of the Hard Minerals Committee, and is a contributing editor to Trends.
