David L. Rieser has been promoted to principal at MuchShelist in Chicago. Rieser is head of the firm’s environmental, regulatory, and redevelopment law practice.
Jeff Wood has rejoined Balch & Bingham in its Washington, D.C., office as a partner in its Environmental and Natural Resources and Energy Sections. Wood worked for several years in the firm’s Birmingham, Alabama, office, then for Ingram Barge Company in Nashville, and most recently for U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions (R–Alabama), where he served as Republican staff director of the Senate Subcommittee on Clean Air & Nuclear Safety and the Senate Subcommittee on Water and Wildlife.
Corinne Martin has joined Caterpillar Inc. as environmental counsel in Peoria, Illinois. Martin was most recently with the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Stites & Harbison in Nashville. She is a member of the Section’s Membership Service Group and Special Committee on Communications and External Relations.
Asimakis “Maki” Iatridis has become the CEO and general counsel of Ocean First LLC, in Boulder, Colorado. Ocean First LLC owns Ocean First Divers and Ocean Classrooms. Ocean First Divers is a swim, diving, retail, and eco-travel aquatics company that promotes sustainability and reform in the industry. Ocean Classrooms is a marine science education company. Iatridis is continuing with his environmental practice for a few clients (part-time) on the side.
