As use cases for unmanned aircraft systems (UAS or drones) continue to expand, industries whose connections to this technology were not necessarily obvious are now capturing headlines on a routine basis. Aerial drone technology, which is providing everything from ground, air, and waterway monitoring to infrastructure inspection, agricultural advances, and local and regional mapping, is revolutionizing the industry by modernizing how natural resources and environmental information is obtained, analyzed, and used.
