Equity and Access Webinar Recording

The ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER) and the Law Firm Sustainability Network (LFSN) hosted a free non-CLE webinar on December 15, 2020 titled, “Equity and Access - Best Practices for Creating Meaningful Diversity & Inclusion Programs in Legal Organizations.”

Fostering more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces requires active participation and commitment to address several issues, including implicit bias and problems in recruiting and engaging diverse sets of attorneys. During this non-CLE webinar, panelists discuss solutions and best practices to implement meaningful diversity and inclusion programs in legal organizations, such as implementation of the Mansfield Rule, discussion of diversity and inclusion in the context of environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) principles, involvement of leadership to engage diverse associates, the use of metrics to ensure programs are meeting goals, and examples of meaningful equity and inclusion programs. This program is suitable for legal organizations of any size and covers topics applicable to law firms, government attorney offices, in-house groups, and non-government organizations.
