Kim's work focuses on the Clean Air Act and Virginia's Air Pollution Control Laws – identifying solutions to reduce air pollution from industrial facilities located in overburdened communities. Her work has a special focus on the Tri-Cities of Virginia where she collaborates with community members and partner groups to push state environmental agencies to incorporate environmental justice considerations into air permitting decisions.
