Jamie is a first-generation law student in their final semester at the University of Maine School of Law. At Maine Law they served as co-chair of the Energy & Environmental Law Society. Jamie was part of the Maine Law delegation to COP29; and they studied abroad at the Arctic University of Norway where they learned Law of the Sea and Indigenous peoples' rights while continuing remotely on the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal as a piece editor. During their 2L summer, they were a legal intern in the Office of Legislative Affairs at the United States Department of Justice.

Jamie also studied abroad as an undergraduate, with the Sea Education Association (SEA). Through SEA, Jamie performed physical oceanography and wrote their research manuscript while sailing on a trans-Atlantic crossing.

Jamie currently serves as vice chair for substantive committee liaisons for the SEER Environmental Law Society Network (ELSN). They also serve as a student board member of the Energy Bar Association. Jamie’s article, "Recognizing Aquaculture as Agriculture," was published in the Fall 2024 issue of SEER's NR&E.

In their free time, Jamie enjoys getting lost in 1000-page fantasy novels and finding their way along the Maine Beer Trail!
