Trauma, Recovery, and Repair - A Conversation with Professor Judith Herman

August 21, 2023 | 2:00 p.m. ET (11:00 a.m. PT)

Our third Write & Tell Live livestream author conversation will feature author and psychiatrist Professor Judith Herman and Commission Liaison Marium Durrani. Herman is author of the new book "TRUTH AND REPAIR: How Trauma Survivors Envision Justice."

In Herman's groundbreaking book, "TRAUMA AND RECOVERY: The Aftermath of Violence – from Domestic Abuse to Political Terror," first published in 1992, Herman traced the course of recovery from trauma in three stages, and in the decades since has contemplated a fourth and final stage of recovery: justice.

In her new book, Herman seeks to answer the vital questions: How do we fix the system for survivors of sexual trauma? How do we repair the world for the survivors themselves?

Join us to talk about Trauma, Recovery, and Repair, on August 21. What can we all do to repair the world?
