Cory Gordon

Cory is a staff attorney at Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault (ANDVSA). She provides direct civil representation to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault throughout the state of Alaska. She represents clients in their family law and protective order cases.

Cory has a strong commitment to social justice. Prior to working at ANDVSA, she represented the constitutional rights of people sentenced to death, litigating intricate legal matters, involving convoluted federal law and policies.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, she obtained her Master of Social Work and a private pilot license. She was employed as a supervisor at a marketing agency, where she was promoted to the leadership position a year and a half after joining the company. She led teams in developing and managing Alaska’s large social marketing and health equity campaigns.

Additionally, throughout her career, she has used innovative digital media strategies to further the mission of nonprofits. For instance, she created numerous films for The Salvation Army Alaska have helped raise thousands of dollars for their programs in the state.
