Baonam Giang

Baonam ‘Nam’ Giang serves as the Regional Anti-Hate Manager, South at The Asian American Foundation (TAAF). He supports the Anti-Hate National Network and the grantee partners as they work to develop a national infrastructure for tackling hate across the country. He is passionate about serving the AAPI community, having spent most of his career embedded in local and national AAPI organizations.

Prior to joining TAAF, he was at the National Organization of Asians and Pacific Islanders Ending Sexual Violence (NAPIESV). During his time at NAPIESV, he supported community-based organizations, governmental agencies, and grantees of various Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women programs in enhancing their capacity to provide culturally specific and linguistically appropriate services for victims and survivors from the AAPI community in the U.S. and U.S. Pacific Territories.

Nam graduated from the University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Criminology and a Master of Public Administration with an emphasis in public and nonprofit management. In his free time, he enjoys serving as a youth group leader, playing basketball, snowboarding, and spending time in nature with his family
