Trauma-Informed Legal Organizations Institute

September 17 & 22, 2025 (12:00-4:00 p.m. ET | 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. PT) via Live Zoom Sessions | Draft Agenda Coming Soon

This Institute highlights the need for trauma-informed practices, not only as part of attorney-client relationships, but within legal organizations themselves. During Day 1 of the training, participants will gain understanding of the impacts of vicarious trauma on legal service providers, the importance of setting boundaries for sustainable practice, and trauma-informed supervision. Day 2 will be geared more toward organizational leadership, and will focus on conducting an organizational assessment for trauma-informed practices, trauma-informed hiring, and trauma-informed onboarding. All participants are welcome to attend both days of the training.

  • The Trauma-Informed Legal Organizations Institute is open to all legal staff.
  • There is no cost to attend this training.
  • Priority will be given to OVW grantees.
  • No CLE credits will be provided. 
  • Registration will remain open through September 3, 2025, or until the training has reached capacity.
