Taylor Duran is the Project Coordinator of the Legal Resource Center on Violence Against Women. She joined the LRC after working with crime victims for four years at the Hialeah Police Department in Miami-Dade County and the local State Attorney’s Office. As a victim advocate and counselor, Ms. Duran conducted risk assessments, provided safety planning, and assisted survivors in criminal and civil proceedings. She also helped survivors to apply for victim compensation funds and U-visas. Ms. Duran is fluent in English and Spanish, and has limited proficiency in American Sign Language.
