Advanced Interstate Custody Training | Zoom | April 18, 2024 (12:00-3:00 p.m. ET/9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. PT) | DRAFT AGENDA

The American Bar Association Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence is excited to host the Legal Resource Center on Violence Against Women’s interactive legal training, focused on advanced interstate custody issues. Training topics will include:

  • Strategies for working with clients who are considering leaving a jurisdiction with their children.
  • Recent and emerging trends in practice and case law.
  • Personal jurisdiction in protection order cases.

This advanced training is appropriate for legal professionals who have participated in a previous LRC training and/or have experience with interstate custody cases.

The training program will take place on Zoom on April 18, 2024, 12:00-3:00 p.m. Eastern Time (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Pacific Time). Don't miss this opportunity to expand your knowledge and enhance your ability to assist clients with interstate custody issues.

Registration will remain open until Friday, April 12, or until the training has reached capacity.

  • There is no cost to attend this training.
  • Priority will be given to OVW grantees.
  • You will not receive CLE credit for participating.
