What work do you do with the Commission?

I am a member of the commission.

What are your areas of expertise or what areas are particularly interesting to you?

Professional responsibility, ethics, adjudicative processes, decision-making by judges, implicit bias, access to justice, gender discrimination, reproductive justice, family law, diversity and inclusion.

Share one thing you have learned, big or small, doing your work over the past year?

Inspired by bell hooks, I learned (I am still trying to learn) that vulnerability is an important element of “teaching to transgress.”

Who inspires you?

I am inspired by all the women who resist, persist and dare to challenge the system, whether it be on the streets as activists or through their writings as academics.

What do you do to relax, de-stress, or recharge your batteries?

Play with my two dogs, read, hike, travel.

What is something you are looking forward to in the future?

Meeting new colleagues and exploring future collaborations.
