Part I: Fighting the Myth of “Parental Alienation Syndrome” and “Parental Alienation” in Custody Cases

This session will equip new and seasoned civil attorneys representing survivors of domestic violence to fight the myth of “Parental Alienation Syndrome” and debunk “Parental Alienation” arguments in custody cases by providing practical resources and strategies to implement in their custody litigation.
This session will equip new and seasoned civil attorneys representing survivors of domestic violence to address complex financial legal issues that arise in family law cases, including: child support, division of federal pension and other retirement funds, alimony, and marital debt.
This session will equip new and seasoned civil attorneys representing survivors of domestic violence litigate custody cases involving child sexual abuse by providing: a real-life context for the success rate of these cases; practical litigation strategies, and sample arguments.
