The Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence hosts this monitored, listserv to provide a forum for the managers and supervisors of victims’ attorneys to discuss issues that arise in discuss issues that arise in the process of supervision, and to provide peer-to-peer assistance and mentorship.
As representation of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking extends far beyond family law cases, managers from all practice settings are encouraged to apply so long as the list criteria are met.
- The Manage-DSV listserv is open only to those who manage attorneys who maintain a substantial and active practice of cases on behalf of individual victims. The practice must include substantial in-court representation.
- Membership is open to managers of victims' lawyers only. The listserv is not open to those who represent perpetrators of abuse or who are otherwise involved in litigation on behalf of abusers.
The list is ‘quietly moderated’ by the Commission on Domestic & Sexual Violence, which means that messages are screened for relevance and appropriateness, but not edited.
