October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Domestic Violence Awareness Month (“DVAM”) activities are asdiverse as the communities that sponsor them, but have common themes: mourning those who have died because of domestic violence; celebrating those who have survived; raising awareness; and connecting those who work to end violence. The best way to honor DVAM is to find out what’s happening in your community by simply googling “DVAM [your state]”. Join a social media campaign, become a volunteer, or make a donation – every effort counts!
