Upcoming Webinar: Workplace Caregiver Challenge and Its Impact on Wealth—October 21

The Commission on Women in the Profession will hold its third webinar of the series The Financial Future Is Female: Women Lawyers and Wealth Creation titled “The Workplace Caregiver Challenge and Its Impact on Wealth” on October 21, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. CST. This webinar will focus on challenges that caregivers face as they try to balance caregiving and work and provide guidance on how to navigate this responsibility. Panelists will share their personal caregiving stories, lessons learned, and how caregiving has impacted their work. An AARP family caregiving expert will talk about financial and legal issues that affect caregivers and will offer advice to current and expectant caregivers. This webinar is intended to empower lawyers in any stage of their career where they find themselves needed to take care of a loved one and provide them with the knowledge to better navigate the responsibilities of caregiving. A fourth webinar will follow, proposed to be held on November 9, 2021.

Speaking will be moderator Michelle Browning Coughlin, general counsel and VP of legal affairs, El Toro IP Targeting, and panelists Karren Pope-Onwukwe, attorney, Law Office of Karren Pope-Onwukwe, LLC, and Amanda Singleton, managing attorney, Singleton Legal PLLC.
