The Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity would like to congratulate former Commissioner Shane Vannatta, who was sworn in as the newest Fourth Judicial District Judge of Montana on Friday, February 22nd.
Shane will be the first to hold the newly-created seat on the District Judge bench. He will be the state’s 49th active judge, the highest number in Montana history. And most importantly he’s also the first openly gay judge to serve in the state!
