Language Access and Court Interpreters
- The Office of Language Access (OLA) assists in the development and implementation of policies and best practices that support the NYS Unified Court System's (UCS) commitment to ensure that persons with Limited English Proficiency (LEP), or who are deaf or hard of hearing, have equal access to the courts and available court services. OLA is responsible for ensuring that prompt, accurate and consistent foreign language and sign interpretation and translation are provided in a manner that complies with UCS policies and procedures.
