Diversity Committee

Identify, recruit, mentor and install in OBA leadership positions more lawyers of color, women, young lawyers, and lawyers practicing in the public and corporate sectors of our profession. Promote full and equal participation by minorities in all sectors of the legal profession (private, public, corporate, judiciary and academia) by creating increased opportunities in all aspects of lawyering, from recruitment by and graduation from the state’s law schools to bar admission to first employment to job retention to advancement in their legal careers.

Oklahoma Indian Bar Association

The Oklahoma Indian Bar Association (OIBA) is comprised of Native American and non-Indian attorneys who are interested in the advancement of Indian law in Oklahoma. The OIBA allows not only attorneys but also law students and tribal court clerks to become members.For its members, the Oklahoma Indian Bar Association provides networking opportunities, continuing legal education, and scholarship opportunities for American Indian law students. For example, the OIBA collaborates with other bar associations in Oklahoma to promote the advancement and understanding of Indian law throughout Oklahoma and the nation.
