Disabilities Law Section
Created in 1995, this Section is open to attorneys who serve the needs of a variety of clients in the field of disability law and gives members an opportunity to network with attorneys of similar interests and attend professional educational seminars, as well as forum to exchange ideas and information.
Diversity and Inclusion in the Profession Committee
The Committee shall: (1) Develop relationships with other entities in and outside the Alabama State Bar to increase educational and professional opportunities for women and minorities and evaluate the success of these efforts; (2) Use the resources of the American Bar Association including a review of model diversity programs offered by other bar associations for use in Alabama (3) Coordinate the committee’s efforts with the Young Lawyers Section, the Women’s Section, the Alabama Lawyers Association, and local minority bar associations and other groups as appropriate and desirable (4) Promote diversity and inclusion principles in law school admission.
Women's Section
The Women’s Section was created to meet the needs of all female members of the Alabama State Bar. The purposes of the section are to provide its members with opportunities to network and communicate, to enhance their level of bar participation, and to promote the advancement of women in the legal profession.
