To Disclose or Not: Understanding Disability Identity in Law School Admissions

In 2022, the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) surveyed first-year law students to understand how disability identity shapes the law school experience. Recently, LSAC released an updated report, First-Year Law School Class: A Focus on Students with Disabilities, 2023 Update, based on responses of 1Ls with disabilities for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Staff Director Amy Allbright and Chair Robert (Bob) Dinerstein co-authored a blog post responding to the data regarding respondents’ decision whether to disclose their disabilities.
