For over 20 Years Attorney Tammy L. Browning-Smith, JD, LL.M has dedicated her legal practice to those who create and innovate.
Tammy currently serves as General Counsel for Magnolia Pearl, a leading fashion label. For 17 years Tammy owned her own law practice working extensively with clients of all sizes helping to secure and commercialize their valuable intellectual property assets (copyrights, trademarks, and trade dress) along with advising on issues relating to the Americans with Disability Act and the Creative Arts. She and her Service Dog Bob continue to present programming and help draft policies regarding service dogs and health care access.
Tammy’s newest policy initiatives center around artificial intelligence and its use in the creative and disability communities.
Tammy holds a Juris Doctor and Master of Laws – Intellectual Property from Western Michigan University – Cooley Law School. She currently serves as the Co-Chairperson for the American Bar Association – US Copyright Office Committee and an appointed member of the Artificial Intelligence Committee.
Tammy lives with her husband Dale Smith in East Leroy, Michigan along with their Service Dog, a Chinese Shar Pei, Bob. If there is such a thing as free time, you will find time in or near the water!
