Regina DeAngelis is an Administrative Law Judge at the California Public Utilities Commission. Ms. DeAngelis started her career in private practice and joined the state agency’s legal division in 2002. For the past 15 years, Ms. DeAngelis has presided over regulatory proceedings involving electric, gas, telecommunications, and water companies. These cases include issues related to ratemaking, transmission, safety, climate change, renewables, disadvantaged communities, supplier diversity, deaf and disabled telecommunications, and matters impacting people with disabilities. Ms. DeAngelis is a member of the Disability Advisory Committee at her state agency, which is a statutorily created committee for the purpose of advising government agencies on matters of interest to people with disabilities employed by the state of California. She is also a member of the Legislative and Policy Committee of the Association of California State Employees with Disabilities. She holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and a J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
She lives in Northern California and enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the outdoors.
