    The American Bar Association has four goals to achieve its mission. Notably, Goal III seeks to eliminate bias and enhance diversity in the legal profession. Under Goal III, diversity is considered race/ethnicity, gender, LGBTQ+ status and disability.

Published twice a year, The Innovator strives to keep you apprised of the Commission's work and spotlight the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts of various Sections, Divisions, and Forums across the American Bar Association.     Congratulations on the successful completion of another bar year! In the midst of the hustle and bustle, the Association's Sections, Divisions, and Forums continued to find meaningful ways to advance racial and ethnic diversity in the legal profession and enrich the member experience. To that end, the Commission on Racial and Ethic Diversity in the Profession is thrilled to share the Summer 2022 edition  of The Innovator with you. In this edition, we highlight various efforts across the Association, the dedication of our leaders, and the passion that fuels the drive to move the needle forward.

    As the Association prepares to embark on a new bar year and cultivate new and exciting goals, the Commission welcomes you to renew your commitment to Goal III and explore innovative and meaningful ways to put action to words and advocate for our members, profession, and the communities we serve.
