    The Rio Grande, the river that defines the border of the United States and Mexico, stretches past the town of McAllen, Texas. This small town is in many ways a representation of many Texas border towns.

    Welcome to the first edition of The Innovator for 2020! Thanks go out to those entities and individuals who offered submissions to our publication, as these contributions are essential to the success of The Innovator. I know that within the ABA, there are a number of publications in many forms competing for your time and attention, but our Commission believes that The Innovator delivers dynamic content highlighting our work in the Diversity and Inclusion field. The Commission looks forward to the year to come and keep an eye out for fall edition of The Innovator due in August of 2020.
