All dispute resolvers can learn from diverse perspectives to improve their practices. In this webinar, speakers will highlight ways to incorporate gender perspectives, cultural perspectives, and disability perspectives to make our practices more accessible, sensitive, and inclusive.
Dan Berstein will share lessons from the Dispute Resolution in Mental Health Initiative, detailing ways we can make our practices more accessible for all parties by anticipating psychiatric disabilities. Jaya Sharma will share ways to make our practices less ethnocentric and more culturally sensitive to differences in values, negotiation norms, and customs. Joni Stacy will share ways to incorporate gender awareness into our practices and ways to avoid inadvertent insensitivity.
