Dear Dispute Resolution Magazine Readers,

For nearly 30 years, the Magazine has served as a valuable resource and a platform for sharing insights, stories, and industry developments. The ABA’s Dispute Resolution Section Leadership would like to take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude for the continued support and engagement of Dispute Resolution Magazine readers, contributors, and editors.

After extensive and in-depth consideration, Section Leadership has made the difficult decision to sunset Dispute Resolution Magazine, with the fall 2025 issue as the Magazine’s final print edition. This decision was not made lightly, and Section Leadership carefully explored every possible alternative before reaching this conclusion. Ongoing funding decisions are having – and will continue to have – an immediate impact, and Section Leadership is urgently working to position the Section for long-term stability and success.

We understand that this news may be disappointing to our members. Please know that Section Leadership is actively addressing the situation with diligence and care. We remain committed to navigating this challenge thoughtfully and will continue to keep you informed as we move forward.

While this marks the end of an era, it also opens new opportunities. The Magazine’s fall edition will focus on change, opportunity, and harnessing creative energy in challenging times. One way the Section is focusing on change is the creation of a Beyond the Pages Task Force, charged with developing content-based theory-to-practice membership deliverables through other means. The Task Force was created in February and will be sharing its progress with all Section Members in the near future.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to staying connected in this evolving landscape.

In gratitude for your understanding and in hope for the future,

The Section of Dispute Resolution
