Dear Colleagues and Fellow Members,

As the Publications Chair of the Arbitration Committee of the American Bar Association, it is my distinct honor and privilege to introduce the June edition of *Just Resolutions*. This month’s issue is particularly special as it is sponsored by our very own Arbitration Committee, a testament to our collective dedication and commitment to the field of arbitration.

Arbitration has always been a cornerstone of alternative dispute resolution, offering an efficient, effective, and equitable means of resolving conflicts. In an ever-evolving legal landscape, our role as arbitrators is crucial in ensuring justice and fairness while upholding the principles that underpin our legal system. This edition of *Just Resolutions* highlights the latest trends, challenges, and innovations in arbitration, providing valuable insights and practical knowledge to enhance our practice.

Our committee has worked diligently to curate a collection of articles that not only reflect the current state of arbitration but also look towards the future. From exploring guiding principles, industrial revolution to practical insights that will undoubtedly enrich your understanding and approach to arbitration.

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our contributors for their expertise and dedication, as well as to the editorial team for their unwavering commitment to excellence. Your efforts ensure that *Just Resolutions* remains a premier resource for professionals in the field of dispute resolution.

As you delve into this edition, I encourage you to reflect on the vital role we play as arbitrators and the positive impact we can have on the parties we serve. Let us continue to strive for excellence, uphold the highest standards of integrity, and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Awarding Attorney Fees, Costs and Interest in Arbitration
July 17 at 1 pm ET | Webinar

Attorney fees, arbitration costs, and interest often constitute a significant portion of an arbitration award. This webinar will help arbitrators determine whether such fee and cost awards are appropriate, and if so, how to determine the amount awarded. It will also help arbitration advocates frame arguments in support of, or in opposition to, such fee and cost awards.
