Message from the Committee Chairs

Our mission is to develop programs and raise awareness about ADR in the state and federal courts and to provide connections across the ADR field; support the DR Spring Conference Court Symposium.

Welcome to the February 2024 issue of Just Resolutions, sponsored by the Court ADR Committee.

At its core, ADR is about the people.  Despite, or perhaps because of the evolution of artificial intelligence (AI) in the legal process, ADR professionals remain committed to connecting with and supporting people in conflict.

This month's articles allow us to think more critically about how training and program design can enhance connections with those we serve. Kevin Kinnear provides insights and experiences with bilingual training.  Laurel Stevenson focuses on advancing judicial training. Danielle Shalov provides a detailed analysis of data collection for improved outcomes.  And through exciting new research spearheaded by RSI, Rachel Feinstein and Jennifer Shack provide perspectives on how to best engage the public to improve judicial access and efficiency.

We are grateful to our Committee Members for their engagement and insight. We look forward to continued dialogue and connection.

Warm regards,

Laurel Stevenson and Nick White, Co-Chairs
