Section members receive an annual subscription to the Dispute Resolution Magazine (quarterly), Just Resolutions E-Newsletter (monthly), member only E-updates and a 50% discount on the Ohio State Journal of Dispute Resolution. In addition, Section members receive at least a 20% discount on books published by the Section.
CLE Sessions and Trainings
The Section offers a number of trainings on current topics of interest to neutrals and lawyers who represent clients in ADR proceedings. We schedule and co-sponsor numerous CLE events and conferences a year, at which members receive a registration discount greater than the cost of Section membership.
Timely Practice Tips
The Section maintains members-only email discussion lists, in which members exchange timely advice on developments in ADR practice and laws affecting such practice. In addition, regular columns in Dispute Resolution Magazine and Just Resolutions provide members with critical practice, skill and business development information.
(MIDR – minorities, lawyers with disabilities and/or LGBTQ lawyers) The Section has created a minorities in dispute resolution directory to increase the opportunity of our diverse membership to be selected as a neutral, whether as an arbitrator, mediator or other neutral capacity. The directory is a searchable pdf document and includes names, contact information, specific practice areas, type of practice, geographic location and demographic information.
Women in Dispute Resolution Directory (WIDR)
The 2018 WIDR Member Directory of ADR Practitioners is a resource for those seeking to hire women as dispute resolution neutrals. The Directory includes names, specific practice areas, types of practice, and geographic location along with links to practitioner web sites.
