Asia Pacific International Mediation Summit

New Delhi, India | February 12 – 15, 2015

The Summit engaged a range of experienced dispute resolution practitioners, academics, judges, attorneys, mediation and arbitration professional organizations, and users such as international corporate representatives and government entities. The Summit focused on a wide variety of topics including building sustainable mediation programs, best practices in court-connected and community mediation programs, commercial mediation, cross-border international mediation, the enforceability of international mediation agreements, and the future of mediation in Asia.

The Summit began with the Grand Inaugural which featured high tea on the lawn, keynote speeches, a cultural program and a welcome dinner.

Attendees learned about developing sustainable mediation programs, mediation models in Asia and heard from the Honorable Chief Justice of Singapore, The Secretary of UNCITRAL, Justices of the Supreme Court of India and the Immediate Past President of the ABA in the VIP Plenary. One of the highlights of the day was a visit to the New Delhi High Court Mediation Centre.

Attendees learned about best practices in court-connected and community mediation programs, commercial mediation, cross-border international mediation, the enforceability of international mediation agreements, and the future of mediation in Asia.  The day concluded with a spectacular Valentine’s Day Dinner.
