How to Get Involved with the Dispute Resolution Section
Here are some ways you can get involved with the Section while also broadening your network.
Attend an Event
Our conferences and webinars provide valuable continuing education, plus they offer a networking avenue to meet leaders and peers in the field. Our Membership Committee also periodically offers in-person and virtual social events.
Join a Committee
Our 20 substantive committees are each focused on different areas of dispute resolution. Committee members receive access to listservs and our internal members-only platform, ABA Communities, to network, exchange ideas, receive advice, and interact with fellow professionals who share similar areas of interest.
Serve in Leadership
The Section is led by a strong community of nearly 100 members in leadership roles, including Officers, Executive Committee Members, Council Members and Committee Co-Chairs. Active Section members have the opportunity to be elected and appointed to these leadership positions.
Have an idea for a program?
Thank you for your interest in producing a program! In order to best allocate staff time, we classify any program affiliated with the Section as either a Committee Program or a Section Program. You will start your program planning process by deciding which type of program you want to hold.
