The 2019 Annual Spring Conference will be held on April 10-13, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Minneapolis, Minnesota The Section seeks program proposals for the approximately 90 educational and networking programs that will be scheduled during the four days of the event.

Fordham Conference on International Arbitration and Mediation

About the Section

The Section of Dispute Resolution, established in 1993, has over 11,000 members. The Section is a global leader in dispute resolution. We advance and promote fair, prompt, and cost effective dispute resolution. We convene, facilitate, and support innovative research, education, debate, and collaboration on dispute resolution policy and practices. The Section holds numerous in-person educational programs throughout the year, including a spring conference, the Arbitration Institute, and the Advanced Mediation and Advocacy Skills Institute. The Section also convenes teleconferences and webinars on topics of interest to members.

Events & CLE

The Section holds over 200 hours of accredited CLE programs per year in a variety of different formats; from in-person conferences and skills-based trainings, to teleconferences and break-out sessions at ABA meetings.


We produce high quality publications in the dispute resolution field to demonstrate the Section's leadership and to serve its membership, the bench, the bar, and the general public.
