The Section holds over 200 hours of accredited CLE programs per year in a variety of different formats; from in-person conferences and skills-based trainings, to teleconferences and break-out sessions at ABA meetings.

Membership

Lawyers, judges, law students, non lawyer dispute resolution professionals and international lawyers. Membership in the ABA is a prerequisite to enrollment in the Section of Dispute Resolution.

About the Section

The Section of Dispute Resolution, established in 1993, is a global leader in dispute resolution. We advance and promote fair, prompt, and cost-effective dispute resolution. We convene, facilitate, and support innovative research, education, debate, and collaboration on dispute resolution policy and practices. The Section holds numerous educational programs throughout the year, including a spring conference, the Arbitration Institute, and the Advanced Mediation and Advocacy Skills Institute. The Section also convenes webinars and virtual events on topics of interest to members.
