A number of low cost applications integrate CRM with project management functionality. These web based applications are popularly referred to as SaaS or Software as a Service. This business model offers the benefits of affordability (several are free for 3 or fewer users) and accessibility to a maintenance free collection of applications. You can sync contacts with Outlook, Palm, PocketPC or mobile phones and import/export contacts to/from Outlook and most other applications in CSV format. QuickBase by Intuit (makers of QuickBooks) has a CRM module and combines elements of a database, a spreadsheet and a sales management application, all in one package. Customers pay an initial one-time fee of $249 for the first 10 users, and $3 per additional user per month. Additionally there is a Legal category of applications for time and billing, multi-party litigation, contract management, and a document library with a built-in revision-tracking feature. Salesforce for Google Apps is the result of a partnership between Google and Salesforce CRM. The combination enables access to the Google Apps suite of Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, and Google Docs from within Salesforce. Google Apps comes in two versions: Standard Edition is free, but ad-supported. Premier Edition begins at $50 per account, per year.
