Marvin S.C. Dang
Marvin S.C. Dang is the managing member of Law Offices of Marvin S.C. Dang, LLC in Honolulu, Hawaii and has been a lawyer since 1978. He received his Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C. and his B.A. degree from the University of Hawaii. A former legislator in the Hawaii State House of Representatives, Marvin is now a registered lobbyist. His law firm is the largest creditors’ rights firm in Hawaii. His other practice areas include legislation, government relations, and real estate matters.
Marvin is the Immediate Past Chair of the American Bar Association's 60,000 member Senior Lawyers Division (2019-2020) after having served as the Division's Chair in 2018-2019. He's a member of the ABA Nominating Committee, a Minority Member-at-Large Delegate in the ABA House of Delegates, a member of the Council of the ABA Fund for Justice and Education, and a former Commissioner of the ABA Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession. During the past 43 years beginning as a law student member of the ABA in 1976, Marvin has held leadership positions in various ABA Divisions: Law Student Division; Young Lawyers Division; Solo, Small Firm & General Practice Division; and Senior Lawyers Division. Marvin is a member of the ABA President's Club and the ABA Society of Saratoga.
