Retaliation is a growing civil rights issue in labor and employment law, affecting employees who speak out against discrimination, harassment, or illegal practices. This program explores the legal protections available to those who expose workplace misconduct and highlights the ways retaliation disproportionately impacts marginalized communities, exacerbating barriers to workplace equity and economic opportunity.
Through an analysis of recent cases, statutory protections, and systemic challenges, attendees gain valuable insights into identifying retaliatory practices and advocating for clients facing retaliation. The program also offers strategies for pushing systemic reforms to create more equitable and inclusive workplace policies.
This program is Panel 1 from Day 2 of the ABA Section of Civil Rights and Social Justice’s Civil Rights Boot Camp.
