    Bullyproof: An Anti-Bullying Initiative

    A collaborative and comprehensive public service project dedicated to ending bullying in this country through education and empowerment in our schools, profession, and legislature. We focus on three key areas: Educating school administrators, parents, and students; Education for lawyers; and Legislation.

    Parents

    Resources to help parents learn more about the different types of bullying, the effects of bullying and how bullying can be prevented.
    Educators

    Resources for educators, showing the importance of knowing the signs of bullying and reacting appropriately when you observe bullying or instances of bullying are reported to you.
    Young Lawyer

    Resources for lawyers can encounter bullying-related issues in their practice, including representation of victims, advising school districts, advocating for the enactment or revision of school policies and state laws, and more.
    Students

    These resources for students help to identify and stop physical social, verbal, and cyber bullying in their schools.
    Toolkit

    The Bullyproof toolkit contains a number of resources for those interested in scheduling Bullyproof outreach programs.

    Roula Allouch, Vice Chair of CRSJ’s Bullyproof Committee, interviews author Lauren Stiller Rikleen, former Section Chair, about the research and strategies described in her new book “The Shield of Silence: How Power Perpetuates a Culture of Harassment and Bullying in the Workplace.” Drawing on the research, interviews, and strategic recommendations for addressing workplace misconduct in her book, Lauren discusses the link between the creation of a respectful, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture and the elimination of negative workplace behaviors.
