The Civil Rights Lawyer: Looking Back and Leaning Forward | ON-DEMAND

The work of civil rights lawyering is not short-term, it is long-term work. The final installment of the series, The Civil Rights Lawyer: Perspectives on the Profession, provides attendees with an opportunity to learn from speakers who have been at the forefront of civil rights work. Speakers include litigators, policymakers, academics, and others who reflect upon lessons learned in their civil rights careers. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and garner advice and counsel to fortify them to continue the long work of civil rights and social justice.

The goal of The Civil Rights Lawyer webinar series is to highlight the various career paths and lessons learned of lawyers working to advance civil rights and social justice. The third installment includes lawyers who are working in the areas of civil rights and social justice. They share their strategies and lessons learned for balancing health and wellness while advocating for civil rights and social justice.

The Civil Rights Lawyer: Social Engineer | ON-DEMAND

The second part of the series, The Civil Rights Lawyer: Perspectives on the Profession, builds upon the vision for good that Charles Hamilton Houston believed lawyers can play in constructing a more equitable society. Part 2: Social Engineer, commemorates Black History Month, recognizing lawyers who are working to engineer a more racially just country.
