The Trump First Amendment Casebook

Donald Trump may not be regarded as the First Amendment’s best friend — but the First Amendment could be Donald Trump’s best friend as he confronts criminal charges in multiple jurisdictions. The former president’s legal struggles — over a judicially imposed gag order, charges of inciting mob violence, and allegations of leaking the contents of classified documents — all implicate core free-speech principles, albeit in an unorthodox context. This webinar looks at how the Trump criminal prosecutions are putting the First Amendment to the test.
